六一国际儿童节 – International Children’s Day
It’s Children’s Day. The little hellions darlings are running around all over the city wreaking havoc spreading joy. I kid. I kid because I love. In honor of Children’s Day, here are a few shots of little Chinese angels I’ve collected over the past couple of years. I’ve tried to include a variety of situations and emotions. Here… is the future of China.
Defiance
Flowers & Fish
Schoolyard Buddies
Sneaking A Peak
Screaming In Nanning
Wink
Stickylicious
Water Baby
Zong Houpu
Baby Yao Number Three

So, yes, I have once again fallen behind. The new blog/website design is well underway and I hope to have it up and running very soon. I am also waiting to see the edited version of the photo-documentary on the opera singers and we are trying to get the photo tourism business up and running before we completely miss the summer travel window. I am also planning my son’s summer visit. Throw in the teaching responsibilities and trips to the hospital and, well, I think you get the picture. Trying to stay of top of everything is proving to be difficult. It leaves very little time to actually write or take photographs.
If you are one of the folks I owe email, know I haven’t forgotten about you. I hope to get back to everyone this week. Yes, I know I’ve said that before.
Peace!

Nice expressive shots and I love the colour.
What a great collection of candid shots. This makes me want to get back in the classroom for a few days!
Love all those little ones.
You always do a wonderful job with their portraits.
Know what you mean with staying on top of things, I am way behind myself.
Too busy with preparing for the big move now.
Hope you are well.
Awww… Baby Yao is so beautiful!
Keep it up! Everyone here loves your pictures.
Each photo is better than the previous one. Stunning results, I really enjoyed this set!
I love this. I truly do. You are exceptional . I am going to publicize this on my social networks. Have a look at my blog: http://pixelles.wordpress.com.
All fantastic shots. Beautiful kids.
Gotta love kids, and that Yao – what a sweety.
I long to take photographs like this while I am in China. I want people to understand what it is like to be among the Chinese and to see their way of life and to see their children. I love China and have been numerous times and even hope to live there for a time some day. Thank you for posting such beautiful photographs.
Its been quite some time now since you last posted. I hope everything is ok. I know you get busy and have had some challenges this past year. Hope to hear from you soon.
Yes my friend and the challenges continue but I seem to be on the mend in all ways. I will be launching the new website soon and that will be one hurdle out of the way. I’m sure I’ll write about “everything” once I get caught up!
I’ve just stumbled across your blog … WOW! Your photos are simply stunning. Great work!
And the kids are soooooo cute. Looking at these cute photos brightened up my day in an instant
Water Baby is my favourite – melts your heart in 1 second lol
